Pyrrha gets up close and personal.
This photo cracks me up. And simultaneously warms my heart. It’s the little things with a shy dog, you know? The things that guardians of “normal” dogs probably take for granted: A wagging tail when you walk in the room, a stupid grin, a tongue lolling out the side of her mouth, rushing nose-first into your camera with a big smile. All these things indicate HUGE progress for Pyrrha. And so they’ll always make me feel a lot of joy. She is doing well and continuing to open up and every tiny sign makes me feel so happy and proud of her.

Ah, the pure joy in the little things! We were just talking about this the other day on how special it is to see the funny mannerisms of our dog Nikita. To us, they are the most precious things in life. Even when she plays with a Lucky Charms box & snorts a little, it cracks us up! Well put! I’m definitely one of those dog owners that gets excited every single time I see Rufus let loose, whether it be with us or around new dogs or people. His introverted and weary personality can get in the way of him having a good time sometimes, so I love seeing his progress.
Pyrrha seems to be bonding so well with her new family, and I couldn’t be happier for all three of you
